IIM Ahmedabad MBA Admission: Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications:
   • Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD categories) from a recognized university.
   • The degree must be completed in any discipline, requiring a minimum of 15 years of study (10 + 2 + 3/4).
2. Work Experience:
   • For the Executive MBA (PGPX) program, candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of full-time work experience after graduation as of March 31, 2025.
3. Age Requirement:
   • For the PGPX program, candidates must be at least 25 years old as of March 31, 2025.

Selection Process

1. CAT Exam:
   • Candidates must have a valid CAT-2024 score. The last date to apply for the CAT exam was September 13, 2024.
2. Application and Shortlisting:
   • After the CAT scores are released, IIM Ahmedabad shortlists candidates based on their CAT scores, academic background, and work experience.

3. Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI):
   • Shortlisted candidates are required to participate in the WAT, GD, and PI rounds. These rounds are crucial for the final selection.
4. Final Selection:
   • The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the CAT exam, WAT, GD, and PI rounds, along with their academic background and work experience.
5. Executive MBA (PGPX) Selection:
   • For the PGPX program, candidates are shortlisted based on their GMAT/GRE scores, leadership assessments, and personal interviews. The selection process includes submitting essays and undergoing personal interviews by a panel of IIMA faculty members.
