Tragic Fall of Temple University Student During Eagles' Celebration
During the celebrations, Sabapathy climbed a light pole. Video footage shows him high on the pole before slipping and falling onto the concrete below, sustaining severe head injuries. He was hospitalized in critical condition and placed on life support. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident has led to renewed warnings from city officials about the dangers of climbing poles during celebrations. Mayor Cherelle Parker emphasized the importance of celebrating responsibly and urged fans to refrain from climbing poles or any other structures during future celebrations.
